Day Services in the Willamette Valley
What is Manuia?
Manuia is a Day Support Activity Program (DSA) serving the intellectually and developmentally disabled (I/DD) community in Polk County, Oregon.

What makes us awesome
Manuia is unique because of our dedication to individual-centered support. Our goal each day is to encourage, empower and engage with each participant in an effort to help them reach their goals.
How we help people
Manuia helps individuals reach their goals through various exercises, experiences, and activities in the community as well as our facility.
We start each day with self-care, including 30 minutes of low-impact exercise, laughing yoga, or practicing deep breathing.
Life Skills stations include stations where we practice basic skills such as financial management, decision-making, time management, communication and more.
Field trips in the community range from trips to the Oregon Zoo, Wildlife Safari, local museums, OMSI, visiting local businesses and community partners, as well as visits by our local Fire and Police Departments for safety talks and emergency preparedness.
Want to become a Manuia Client?
We are a Day Services Program Serving the I/DD Community
In order to join a DSA program, you will have to be receiving services from the State of Oregon through the Department of Human Services. If you have a Services Coordinator or an Agent through a Brokerage, they would be your first point of contact to initiate the process.
Once you contact your Services Coordinator or Agent and inform them of your interest in receiving Day Support services, they will check your Individual Support Plan (ISP) and let you know if you are eligible. If you are eligible, they should contact us via email or phone. In that initial contact, we will confirm your interest, then schedule a meet & greet, and finally, an intake/admit meeting to schedule your tentative start date.
